RAIL BUGGY / TRACK SUPPORT VEHICLE

This Rail Buggy was originaly built for an Asphalt Track as a support vehicle. It was used as a Pace Car, Track Cab, First Response Vehicle and Oil Clean-up tool. It has an oil-dry dispenser and broom system that come with it but are not currently installed and are not pictured. It was last used at a Dirt Track as a push car. The Fire Extinguishers are CO-2 propelled and have 20 LBS. of Purple-K powder each(recommended for race engine fires because it won't hurt aluminum)but were filled in 2003 and may need to be re-certified. They are the refillable type, so that shouldn't be a problem. A 50LB box of Purple-K is included in the price. The engine has extremely low miles since complete re-build. It runs great. The transmission works fine.

Unfortunately, the buggy sat for long enough after it's last season of use for the clutch disc to lock itself to the flywheel and pressure plate (a common VW problem for buggys in a wet environment). There are also some minor electrical issues with the lights. Probably a bad ground. Therefore, I'm selling this as a project car.
